Hangar Caretaker/Aircraft Mover

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Full time or Part Time role working within the hangar located at Redhill Aerodrome, Surrey, UK.

To provide caretaking and cleaning services ensuring that the hangar and facilities are maintained to a clean, secure and safe condition. The successful candidate should hold the ability to multitask and possess the physical capability to engage in manual labour, with a high level of DIY skills.

We also require the candidate possess a full, clean UK Driving License. The role will also involve assisting with aircraft movements.

. Duties Include:

• General upkeep of facility grounds, hangars and offices.
• To ensure that the hangars are kept clean and tidy - This includes but is not limited to - Using a push driven industrial floor cleaner, hovering, mopping and sweeping hangar floors. Removal of waste from facility bins to outside collection areas. Correct disposal of aircraft drip tray contents along with keeping the drip trays clean and maintained across all maintenance bays. General day-to-day cleaning tasks within facility.
• Fill in for the daily hangar cleaner when they are on annual leave. Ensuring that the reception / crew room / client areas and offices are clean and tidy and that restrooms are clean and sanitised.
• To ensure the upkeep of the grounds around the hangars. Carpark maintenance and tidiness, cutting various grass areas etc.
• Perform facility maintenance, repair and upgrade tasks as required by hangar management / engineering.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: £18,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
