Head of Microbiology Biomedical Scientist

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Great opportunity for full-time permanent Band 5 / 6 Biomedical Scientist to join our close-knit team.

Expected to work in all disciplines of the laboratory from receipt of samples in specimen reception to Microbiology plus reporting and validation of results.

Knowledge of UKAS accreditation levels ISO170125 & 15189, IQA and EQA participation would be beneficial.

Qualifications and experience:

• HCPC registered as a Biomedical Scientist
• Able to work with a high degree of accuracy, numeracy, interpretive skills and good problem-solving skills
• Able to demonstrate a good knowledge and experience of industry standard laboratory information management systems
• Must have UK lab experience

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
