Parts Feeder

Acorn is seeking Part Feeders to join their well established client based in Pentwyn, Cardiff on a permanent basis.

Employment: Permanent
Salary: £21,024.39 per annum
Hours: Days Monday to Thursday 6am-2pm & Friday 6am-1pm/ Twilight Monday to Thursday 2pm-10pm & Friday 12pm-7pm

Role Objective

• Main function of the role is to effectively ensure that the correct parts are supplied on time to production.
• Ensure all run switches are followed and supplied in line with the BOM.
• Ensure that all returns are carried out on a timely basis.
• Control material in line with ISO requirements and follow all production and warehouse process flow re

quirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Receipt, safe storage, movement, and issue of material manually, and / or using mechanical handling equipment (i.e., pump Truck).
• Carry out stock checks of materials.
• Reporting any problems relating to materials or equipment to Material Controller or Section Leader.
• Reporting of any potential safety hazards to the Material Controller / Section Leader.
• General housekeeping duties and Health & Safety to keep work areas safe.
• Responsibility of controlling scrap + rejects.
• Following ISO procedures (i.e., bill of materials).
• Assist with any ad-hoc duties as and when required.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

• Good numerical skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Good flexibility and adaptability.
• A positive, enthusiastic approach to their work.
• Previous parts feeding and component knowledge would be an advantage.
• Shop floor process skills would be an advantage.
