Role Overview & Responsibilities

Adams have serving the main catering markets including Fast Food, Indian, Chinese, and Fish & Chips for over 35 years. From 8 locations across England, we are a Food, Drinks, & Consumables supplier who work with some of the world's biggest brands.

At our Hull site the Warehouse Operative role is a physical one reporting to the Branch Manager. The business operates on a 7-day a week basis, with all the team working five days out of seven including weekends. Working hours are usually between 8.30am to 6pm and it is a 39 hour contract.

Experience in a Wholesale/Cash & Carry is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

Candidate specification

Responsibilities

*To act as a point of contact for all queries from customers.

*To check and process deliveries which will including putting stock into the correct location and making of customer orders.

*To assist with stock control and undertaking the bi monthly stock-checks with the rest of the team and ensuring goods are always in stock

*To assist the Branch Manager to deliver all Health & Safety requirements and undertake any other project work that may be reasonably assigned from time to time

Technical skills

*Basic PC Operation

*Fork Lift Trained is an advantage but not essential.

*Be physically fit to carry out manual tasks.

*Ability to work independently on own initiative with minimal supervision

*Ability to interpret and apply company policies

*Ability to work as part of a team

*Ability to respond flexibly to change

*Understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality

*Good multicultural awareness

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £21,800.00 per year
