Accounts Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a hardworking, motivated individual to join our accountancy firm as an Accounts Assistant/Trainee Accountant. The applicant will mainly work at our office in Cowbridge but will be required to travel to our office in Barry on occasion.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

· Bank reconciliations

· Managing company ledgers (sales/purchase)

· Produce accounts up to ETB

· VAT returns

· Payroll

Requirements and skills:

· Studying/qualified AAT

· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel

· Capable of working to deadlines

· Strong communication/customer service skills

· Have a strong work ethic

· Driving licence

· Experience of working in practice is desirable, but this is not essential

Salary: Up to £28,000 depending on experience and qualifications

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Job type: Permanent, full-time position (study leave will be granted if required).
