Role Overview & Responsibilities

Airport facilities maintenance are looking to hire a carpenter for the Gatwick airport department.

You will also be required to carry out works at the following locations (all travel is done within company time & company vehicles) (Gatwick will be your primary base)

- Stansted airport

- Kings cross

- Bournmouth airport

- Southampton airport

- Norwich airport

- Euro tunnel UK

- Euro tunnel France

This is a self employed position (CIS). Works are carried out on nights.

The ideal candidate will be a time served, experienced & qualified carpenter.

Job details:

Hours: 20:00 - 04:00

Working week: Monday - Friday

Rate: £20-£23ph (40 hour weeks)

Duration: on going works for the right candidate (no end date)

Payment terms: 1st week in hand, weekly pay there after

Work location: Predominantly Heathrow based, coverage of Stansted, Luton & City airports (travel time is done within company time & company vehicles are used)

Requirements:

1. C&G qualified carpenter (cards & certs will be audited prior to this role being offered)

2. Clean criminal record

3. Full UK driving licence

4. CSCS

5. Ability to prove 5 year work history

6. Competent to work alone

7. Able to work cohesively in a team

8. IT literate

• West Sussex, RH10 9FZ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Multi trader: 5 years (preferred)
• Carpentry: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person
