Role Overview & Responsibilities

Airport facilities maintenance are looking to hire a carpenter for the off-airport division.

This is a self-employed position (CIS).

The ideal candidate will be a time served, experienced & qualified carpenter.

The works consist of general maintenance & small projects. A breadth of knowledge across multiple trades would be beneficial.

Job details:

Hours are predominantly 08:00 - 16:00 however some flexibility will be required.

Working week: Monday - Friday

Rate: £20-£22ph (40-hour weeks)

Duration: on going works for the right candidate (no end date)

Payment terms: 1st week in hand, weekly pay there after

Work location: AFMLs coverage area is Cambridge down to Brighton & as far West as Swindon

Transport: Van & fuel card are provided

Requirements:

1. C&G qualified carpenter (cards & certs will be audited prior to this role being offered)

2. Clean criminal record

3. Full UK driving licence

4. CSCS

5. Competent to work alone

6. Able to work cohesively in a team

7. IT literate

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £22.00-£23.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• London, Greater London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Multi trader: 5 years (preferred)
• Carpentry: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
