Role Overview & Responsibilities

Almagrove Jewellers is a local independant family-run jewellery business specialising in high-quality New and Pre-owned jewellery and watches. We offer a full bespoke engagement ring service, and we pride ourselves on excellent customer service and product knowledge.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-time, permanent position within our Southampton showroom for someone looking for a career in the jewellery industry.

Some knowledge and interest in jewellery or watches are preferred for this role along with a positive attitude to learning more. Full training is given on a continuous basis

Key Responsibilities: -

· To extend a warm welcome to all customers whether in the shop or on the telephone.

· Professional handling and advising customers of products and services resulting in the achievement of increased sales.

· Merchandising of displays and ensuring high standards are maintained within the store.

· Provide high-quality service to customers face-to-face and over the telephone.

· Assisting customers through our bespoke design service

· Maintain a high level of product knowledge.

· Provide in-store after-sales service to achieve a high level of customer service satisfaction.

· Consistently strive to improve the customer experience.

· Dealing with incoming and outgoing customer jewellery repair work and liaising with our goldsmiths and watchmakers.

· Handling cash and card transactions.

This is an interesting and fulfilling position for a candidate who is keen to seek further knowledge and broaden their horizons in this retail sector. You must be able to work in a team environment, enjoy meeting people, and have excellent customer service skills as well as being well presented.

• Retail sales: 2 years (preferred)
