Role Overview & Responsibilities

Monday to Thursday 6am until 4pm*.

Paid 15 min morning break & 30 min lunchtime break.

Occasional, optional overtime available, 4-6pm

*Depending on factory workload, you may be required to work compulsory overtime on Friday 6am till 11am . Employees are notified if overtime is required for that week on a Tuesday.

40 hours a week, not including voluntary or compulsory overtime.

Architectural Glass Systems manufacture and install aluminium glazing systems into the commercial and domestic markets. We are seeking experienced aluminium fabricators to join our well-established team as part of our expansion plans.

Successful candidates will be responsible for fabricating Schuco, Senior Architectural and Exlabesa aluminium windows, curtain walling, entrance doors, bi folding doors and sliding doors.

Job Description:

• Fabrication of aluminium frames including cutting, prepping, assembling, beading, and gasketing.
• Ensuring the manufacturing schedule is achieved as quickly, safely and efficiently as possible in order to meet targets and deadlines.
• Use of various machinery i.e. Punch Tools, Mitre Saw, Copy Router, and CNC machine.
• Assisting with incoming goods deliveries
• Ensuring all Internal maintenance and cleaning duties are performed daily and report all maintenance issues accordingly.
• Provide quality control inspections on all finished projects & deliveries.

The candidate should:

• Possess a high degree of product knowledge in a variety of aluminium systems
• Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in an aluminium fabrication based role (Preferred)
• Be able to prioritise and organise work efficiently and effectively.
• Be driven to achieve objectives, regardless of problems.
• Be energetic and enthusiastic, proactively offering proposals.
• Achieve team objectives.
• Transmit information in a clear, concise and confident manner.
• Be consistent, accurate and ensure that procedures are followed in a timely and organised manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £12.00-£16.00 per hour
