Role Overview & Responsibilities

We're looking for a bright, creative, reliable and hardworking person to help in our busy workshop.

We're designers and makers. We work mostly in timber and timber sheet materials, using CNC, laser and traditional wood working methods as required.

You would be required to assist with a range of tasks from cutting timber and sheet materials to size using a range of machines and tools and then assembling, finishing and painting them. We'd hope that you can contribute at all stages of a project, design, manufacture, finishes and installation.

You'll need good attention to detail, the ability to follow drawings and plans and the skills to confidently make a range of projects with the team. Also you need the ability to manage your own time and meet sometimes challenging deadlines.

You'll need a clean driving license and some experience of driving a van as on some occasions you'll be driving what we've made to sites around the country and installing them at events and trade shows.

Some wood work experience is essential, workshop experience would be preferred. If you have a qualification in design or making of some sort then even better.

Some knowledge of CAD would be a bonus.

We're looking to find a person who can contribute from the start, but we will also provide opportunities for training and development too particularly in CAD and CNC.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
