Junior CAD designer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Array Display have been designing exhibition stands for over 30 years. We are a design agency who specialise in the design and build of bespoke exhibition stands

We are looking for a Junior CAD designer to join our small team in our small office in Reading.

Requirements:

• Must have knowledge of design/interior design or architecture.
• Must be able to commute to our Reading office reliably.
• Must be a confident individual who has a good telephone manner and is able to communicate well with clients and supplies as needed.
• Must have good attention to detail.
• Must have the ability to work well in a team and on your own initiative.
• A qualification in design is desirable but not required.
• Have a positive, organised, and problem-solving attitude to all challenges.

This role involves:

• Creating new concepts for exhibition stands from a client brief
• Working closely with designers, producing CAD designs for our clients’ projects and contractors.
• Regularly communicating with contractors and suppliers.
• Producing working drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD or sketchup.
• Work to tight deadlines and communicate updates to all involved parties.
• Accurately managing and updating client’s folders with real-time projects using our server.
• Creating and altering large format graphics when required.
• Sending off artwork files to our printers and making sure they arrive on time.

Software skills:

• AutoCAD or equivelant CAD software
• Sketchup & Sketchup Layout
• vRay (desirable but not required).
• Microsoft office

Location:

Our studio is based in Caversham, Reading and situated in a beautiful rural settings. Free on site dedicated parking spaces are available.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £22,000.00 per year
