Role Overview & Responsibilities

Experienced Retail Butcher required for busy farm shop based on the outskirts of Euxton, Chorley.

Tuesday to Friday 7.30am to 5.30pm

Saturday 7.30am to 5.00pm

Duties include;

• Producing meat for sale including bone out carcasses
• Effectively developing and managing staff
• Ensuring that all food safety and health and safety regulations are met
• Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
• Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products
• Keeping records, budgets, and inventory
• Performing quality inspections on meats and other products
• Greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice, answering questions, and accepting orders or payments
• Coordinating deliveries or order pickups
• Developing the sales and profit
• Controlling waste

• Product knowledge is essential

• Have a flexible approach to working hours
• To be able to work as part of a team but also to use their own initiative
• Basic food hygiene certificate
• At least 2 years of retail butchery experience

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £29,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
