Role Overview & Responsibilities

We have an exciting vacancy to join our expanding Governance and Risk Team reporting to the Health and Safety Manager. You will be required to visit our Schools and Children’s homes across England, Wales and Scotland and the role may require you staying away from home on a regular basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional health and safety service to children’s homes, Schools and central offices in a specified geographic area, providing accurate and timely advice and auditing performance against health and safety legislation and Aspris’ policies and standards.

What are we looking for?

  • Provide H&S related training to groups of managers and staff to promote and facilitate a positive health and safety culture as required.
  • Compile health and safety reports for site leaders and senior management.
  • Ensure effective actions arise out of Health and Safety incidents, including suitable reporting under RIDDOR. Where required, evaluate accident/incident reports, including investigating, consulting with key colleagues and providing recommendations and support to sites and where necessary the group to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies, procedures and risk assessments supported by the Aspris Health and Safety Manager.
