Caretaker/Maintenance
Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for a person to join us to support the existing team and running of the business. The business supports Young Adults in supported & independent living across a variety of accommodation in Northampton, this role is as a Maintenance/ Caretaker & will work alongside the Support Workers.
Hours 8.45am-5.15pm Monday- Friday.
Self -employed but with a contract.
The job will vary day to day depending on the needs of the business.
Main duties; (this list is not exhaustive & is to act as a guide)
- Must hold a Driving Licence and be able to drive a van
- Key holder
- Able to complete small jobs using basic tools
- Getting keys cut
- Collects materials and supplies from a variety of shops eg, B&Q etc
- Help with moves
- Move furniture from one location to another
- Painting/ Decorating
- General helper
- Cleaning duties
- Organise own diary to prioritise tasks
- Contact other maintenance professionals where their expertise is required eg, plumbers, electricians etc
- Be able to use a simple computer system to check for new maintenance requests and keep a log of completed tasks
Due to the nature of the business applicants will need a DBS check.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Β£21,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
