Role Overview & Responsibilities

Built in 1772 and steeped in history, Aston Hall Hotel has been lovingly restored and updated with a cool, contemporary design which is high in style but has kept original features very much intact to become the luxury hotel in Sheffield. Surrounded by 55 acres of gardens and meadowland, the setting is stunning and makes a luxury, urban retreat.

​There are 52 super stylish bedrooms and suites, the ever popular Bamford Restaurant and the delectable Volante Bar and Lounge. Aston Hall is located just outside Sheffield, only a minute from junction 31 off the M1 and right on the doorstep of the beautiful Peak District.

​Aston Hall facilities include a luxury house (Darcy House) in the grounds containing six bedrooms, which is available for exclusive use. There is also a gym and various outdoor corporate activities can be pre-booked for conferences and team building events.

​We are looking for a part time Housekeeper to join our hotel in Aston, Sheffield, we are a very busy hotel.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, hoovering, mopping, dusting and polishing
• Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
• Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
• Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances
• Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices

Qualifications and Skills

Previous experience in a hotel would be an advantage although training could be given for the right candidate

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: Up to £10.42 per hour
