Electrical Control Panel Wirer/Fitter

Role Overview & Responsibilities

A well-established Bespoke Control Panel Manufacturing company based in Yeadon, Leeds. With a healthy amount of work and constant in flow of new orders we are looking to grow our team with an additional Panel Wirer/Fitter.

The Role:

The right applicant will be capable of building a control panel, including fitting of trunking and components, and wiring to the high standards we have built our customer base and reputation on.

Duties include:

· Marking out of back-plate and door by following any supplied information/measurements, GA’s and product datasheets.

· Fitting of trunking with mitred corners, din rail, components etc.

· Fit door components and associated labels, ensuring all labels and nameplates are straight and level.

· Fit completed doors to enclosures and install MCCB/Isolator handles

· Wire back-plate and door control cables following the wiring schematics, and ‘point to point’ wiring route. Ensure the correct cable crimps/ferrules are fitted and all cables are marked up with correct cable identification.

· Install mains power cables ensuring the cable and cable lugs are of the right size and type and are correctly identified.

The Ideal Candidate:

· 4 years experience of electrical control panel fitting and wiring

· Competent working from schematic drawings and identifying components

· Competent at stripping and crimping cables from 0.5mm2 to 120mm2

· Competent at tightening connections to specific torque requirements

· Competent in looming of cables to a uniform manner

· Competent in measuring, marking, drilling and fitting of equipment

· Able to work to precise instructions in given time scales

· Able to work consistently to high standards

The Package:

· The role consists of regular day shifts of 38 hours per week; Monday to Thursday, 7:15AM – 5:15PM.

· The rate is negotiable depending upon experience and skills, with a minimum hourly rate of £14 + overtime at 1.5x hourly rate when required, with potential for progression within the company for the right candidate.
