Healthcare Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity in our Basingstoke Dialysis Unit for an ambitious, patient focused Healthcare Assistant lookingfor a rewarding career in healthcare with opportunities for professional development.

Basingstoke Dialysis Unit is a dynamic 20 station unit providing haemodialysis treatment for 80 patients in partnership with the NHS Trust.

This position provides the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to develop existing skills whilst gaining further experience.

Main duties of the job

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to learn

• Good communication skills

• Numerical and literacy skills

• To be able to demonstrate empathy and sympathy

• Adaptable

• Self-motivated

• Flexible to cover the needs of the patients/unit

• To demonstrate a willingness to learn

• NVQ qualified (Health & Social Care) Desirable
