Healthcare Assistant - Part Time (34.5 Hours)

We have an exciting opportunity in our Severn Dialysis Unit for an ambitious, patient focused Healthcare Assistant lookingfor a rewarding career in healthcare with opportunities for professional development.

Severn Dialysis Unit is a dynamic 16 station unit based at Gloucester Royal Hospital providing haemodialysis treatment for 65 patients in partnership with the NHS Trust. The unit operates safe staffing with a protected 4:1 patient to nurse ratio.

Working part time 34.5 hours per week

This position provides the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to develop existing skills whilst gaining further experience.

Main duties of the job

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to learn

• Good communication skills

• Numerical and literacy skills

• To be able to demonstrate empathy and sympathy

• Adaptable

• Self-motivated

• Flexible to cover the needs of the patients/unit

• To demonstrate a willingness to learn

• NVQ qualified (Health & Social Care) Desirable
