COUNTER ASSISTANT REQUIRED

Barry’s Plaice is a traditional Fish and Chip shop based in a beautiful located village in Fenstanton, High Street, PE28 9LQ, in Huntingdon district area of Cambridgeshire

We are seeking to recruit a permanent part time staff on Saturdays from 4.30pm to 9pm and two alternative lunchtime shifts from 12 - 2pm. Overtime is also available.

We are looking for flexible, hardworking, well-presented and punctual person to join our team. Experience preferred but not essential.

Pay starting from £9.00 per hour with pay increase after 3-month probation period.

Key responsibilities:

• Serving customers, duties include: taking shop orders, telephone orders, packing and labelling customer meals efficiently.
• Operating cash register and able to rectify changes to customer orders.
• Assisting with frying station.
• Prepping food.
• Taking meals out from the kitchen and checking orders before handing to frying station.
• General cleaning duties and maintaining high standard of cleanliness in all areas.
• Any other reasonable duties as requested by your manager/assistant manager.

• Excellence in communication skills and the ability to work successfully as part of a vibrant team.
• Maintaining and following high standards of food hygiene and adhering to Health & Safety acts at all times. Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and cleaning.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5 - 7 per week

Salary: £9.00-£11.00 per hour
