Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Vehicle Strip Fitter for our busy BCA Corby site (Geddington Road B).
This opportunity is ideal for a candidate who has previous experience in a similar role and is looking for a new, exciting challenge.
This location of a BCA is easily accessible from Kettering, Wellingborough, Northampton, Thrapston, Rushden, Leicester, Peterborough and many more!
Our recruitment process will include phone interview with our Talent Acquisition Specialist. This will be followed with an on-site interview and site tour with the site manager or a supervisor.
Salary: £15.40 per hour / £34,127.00 per annum + overtime paid as time and half
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 18:00-6:00 (3am finish on Thursday)

Main purpose of the job:

Within this role, you will be working as a part of an experienced bodyshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager.

Main responsibilities:

  • Undertake dismantling and reassembly of panels (strip and fit)
  • Ensuring that all nuts, bolts, screws and any other fixings are labelled and correctly stored ready for when the stripped parts and panels are needed to be put back on to the vehicles
  • Carrying out repairs to restore vehicles to their original condition in line with approved methods
  • Supporting bodyshop team within other departments if required
  • Training bodyshop trainee staff

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role as a Bodyshop Technician
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.
  • You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
  • You will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required
  • Excellent attention to detail
