Sales Assistant

• Support the day-to-day running of our store.
• Greeting our customers and their dogs as they enter the store.
• Providing advice and suggestions regarding nutrition and products which meet the customers’ needs.
• Actively promoting and presenting products and advising on product suitability and use.
• Ensuring high levels of product knowledge.
• Processing sales transactions quickly and efficiently.
• Replenishing stock, ensuring it is correctly counted, priced and dated.
• Assisting with store deliveries.
• Meeting sales targets in line with business objectives.
• Ensure all areas of the store remains clean, organised, neat and tidy at all times.
• Ability to work on your own or as part of a team.

Candidate Profile

• Well presented individual with a minimum of 1 years’ experience pet store retail.
• A love of dogs.
• Be friendly, enthusiastic and embrace our core values
• Trustworthy and reliable.
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
• The capacity to work alone or as part of a team.
• Be resourceful and confident with strong commercial awareness
• Flexible approach to working hours
• Ability to physically move bulk feed.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 per week

Salary: From £9.60 per hour
