HGV Transport Operative / Vehicle Wash

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a Transport Operative you will be working as a member of the Transport Department in our busy Yard. Your Primary role will be washing our HGV fleet to the company standard. You will also be responsible for all Health & Safety aspects whilst in the yard. Your duties will include but not be limited to vehicle washing, Evening shunting cover, vehicle drop off/pick up from our service suppliers, monthly Tachograph downloads and temperature monitoring.

It is essential for all applicants to have basic knowledge of safe systems of work, a good mind towards a dynamic and on the spot risk assessment strategy, and how the mind works of an LGV driver, therefore it is essential you have a background knowledge of working in a fast paced transport environment. An LGV license is essential to meet our company insurance standard. Cat C is essential, Cat CE desirable. Due to vehicle availability this role starts at 14:00hrs Monday to Thursday and 16:00hrs on a Friday. Due to the shift times this role attracts a 9% shift allowance.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Ivybridge: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
