Role Overview & Responsibilities

40 hours per week, Shift Hours x 14:30 – 23:00 Monday to Friday

We are looking for experienced Assistant Manager, to join us onsite with our client. As the Assistant Manager, you’ll focus on the operational delivery of cleaning onsite. You’ll drive performance by being responsible for the running of evening cleaning operation of the site.

As the Assistant Manager onsite, you’ll support the Cleaning manager with management and development of evening cleaning operation and supporting the evening cleaning supervisor with the operation of the site.

Key Accountabilities

· Manage and maintain cleaning equipment to high standards.

· To produce daily reports

· Maintain, update and create COSHH documentation.

· Prioritise health and safety at all levels.

· Train, induct and supervise the work of cleaning operatives.

· Hand’s on assistant always prepared to help, guide and supportoperatives to achieve required service levels.

· Support and develop client relationships.

· Ensure the contract is operating to and exceeding the required specification and performance and is regularly audited in line with specification.

· Endorse new Company initiatives and ensure they are implemented on site.

· Due to the nature of the role weekend work could be required for which you will be notified in advance and paid accordingly.

· The Assistant Cleaning Manager will provide feedback to the Cleaning Team in relation to their performance and service levels. Diplomacy and negotiation skills are essential in carrying out this aspect of the role.

Required Experience

· Have a confident and flexible approach, with previous experience managing and directing cleaning and facilities staff.

· Previous experience interacting with client management

· Must have excellent communication skills including presentational skills

· Must have good knowledge of Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook

· Highly flexible with a demonstrated willingness to take on a responsible approach to any issues

· Practical and logical approach to problem solving

· Be a team player with the ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships

· Have passion for people and cleaning.

· Must have experience in corporate environment
