Role Overview & Responsibilities

Brace's Bakery is looking to recruit a Despatch Operators to join our Despatch department. This opportunity is predominately a "picker/packer" role so accuracy and attention to detail is a MUST. The successful candidate will be required to manage a variety of Brace's Bakery products from delivery lorries and/or vans, compile customer orders in line with the relevant documentation, and load the appropriate vehicles accurately and according to required timelines.

This role involves working 5 days out of 7, which includes every Saturday off and a day in the week. Applicants will be required to work on a rotating shift pattern basis so a degree of flexibility is required for these roles. Start and Finish times can include:

18:00 - 02:00am.

Summary of Key Role Accountabilities

• To unload bread deliveries from transport
• Counting and sorting stock into bulk orders
• Checking quantities against delivery notes and reporting shortages through company processes
• Printing customer invoices
• Manually picking and stacking customer orders accurately
• Driving a 3.5 tonne van from time to time in order to meet customer requirements.
• Arranging orders by delivery sequence for each delivery vehicle
• Loading delivery lorries and vans ready for dispatch
• Maintaining and cleaning down the delivery area
• Conducting health and safety checks of the site
• Ensuring that the site is maintained in a hygiene manner in line with company standards and adopting a clean as you go approach

Salary: £11.41 per hour
