Finance Assistant - Sales Ledger Clerk

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Brand Alliance is a clothing wholesaler of both licensed and our own branded products. We have a team of designers that work with our international business partners to provide our customers with the products that they wish to sell in-store and online. Our customers are some of the largest names in retail including Primark, Next, TK Maxx, Tesco and ASOS.

We are seeking a candidate to work alongside our existing Sales Ledger Clerk, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities as Sales Ledger Clerk include the following:

- Produce sales invoices and credit notes.

- Maintaining the sales order reports.

- Credit control of your allocated accounts.

- Communicating with retailers, factories and other external stakeholders.

- Liaising with Directors and Sales Coordinators.

- Resolving queries and disputes in a timely and professional manner.

- Assisting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc duties as and when required.

Personal Skills

- You will have excellent organisation skills and be able to prioritise tasks based on importance and urgency.

- High attention to detail to ensure data is input accurately.

- A team player with the ability to communicate internally and externally at all levels.

- You will be self-motivated and driven to complete all tasks in a timely and effective manner.

IT Skills

- Experience with Sage 50 software is essential.

- Competent in Excel.

Experience

A minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar finance role is necessary.

Salary

£22,000 to £26,000 per annum, dependent upon experience.

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday - 9:00am to 5:30pm (summertime hours available)
