Role Overview & Responsibilities

Business Services International UK, a destination management company based in London, is looking for a VIP Department Manager to join our team.

The job will include, among other things, the following duties:

  • All duties, responsibilities and tasks required for and pertaining to the travel and tourism and tour operations industry including telephone sales and assistance, customer services and sales via telephone and/or in person, quotations, filing, administration, liaising with customers, colleagues, suppliers, airlines, hotels, airports, agents, tour operators and all relevant contacts, entities and parties within the industry, or as designated by the Directors.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • The efficient running of the VIP Department, supporting your Department Senior Manager.
  • To do everything possible to achieve monthly Department’s target.
  • Taking bookings from Tour Operators, Agents and private customers.
  • Ensure that all bookings from non-credit agents are prepaid in advance of arrival date.
  • Ensure that all bookings are properly posted in Tourplan and comply with all requirements and procedures established in company regarding Tourplan bookings.
  • Entered all changes and additions of bookings into the Tourplan on time and in compliance with established procedures.
  • Prepare all invoices and deal with any issues until they have been paid.
  • Follow Rules and Procedures of Account Department.
  • Resolving and managing queries and complaints.
  • Identifying operational issues, potential problems and opportunities.
  • Bringing any operational issues, problems & complaints immediately to the attention your Senior Manager or of the Director.
  • Maintaining accurate administrative & operational records.
  • To continually search for ways to improve our quality of service and gain better value for money from our subcontractors.
  • Developing customer relationships.
  • To have good knowledge and understanding of other departments and their role within the organisation;
  • To develop positive relations with colleagues from all departments and support their work as appropriate;
  • To prioritise tasks effectively as required;
  • To undertake any other duties as required which are compatible with this role.
  • And other responsibilities as relevant for the running of the employer’s business and all matters pertaining to the promotion, enterprise and needs of the employer’s business.

Salary: £30,000.00 per year
