Facilities Maintenance Engineer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to work at our site in LE3, Leicester. You would be working as part of the Maintenance team to oversee all aspects of the MRF’s maintenance and upkeep. The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of building maintenance including office spaces, structures, and infrastructure.
• Ensure the above areas are in proper operating condition at regular intervals to prevent failure and degradation.
• Ensure all MRF equipment is maintained, repaired, or replaced in line with KPI’s.
• Complete weekly plant shut down inspection of all plant machinery.
• Work and cooperate with site sub-contractors.
• Completion of permits and isolations to ensure maintenance health and safety is of the highest standard.
• Monitor stock levels with monthly stock takes.
• General housekeeping.
• Weekly roof inspections.
• Take part in daily team briefings.
• Adhere to Operational Noise and Management plans.

Essential skills and criteria

• Previous experience using mobile plant equipment such as forklift trucks, skid steers or clamp trucks.
• Good people skills and a good level of English.
• Computer literate.
• Good communication skills.
