Graduate Assistant Management Accountant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

An excellent opportunity to join a service based business, who are located within the Bradford area. As a Graduate Assistant Management Accountant you will be responsible initially for some transactional duties but will be given exposure to the month end process and will be supporting with both the management and financial accounts process. Salary is competitive and up to £26,000 depending on experience, there is a generous pension and benefits scheme and on-site parking. The employer can also offer study support for CIMA/ACCA and clear progression and development opportunities for the successful candidate.

The successful individual will assist the Financial Controller on a day to day basis and will support with duties such as month end, quarterly forecasts and budget processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent accountancy and finance graduate who is either looking for their first role in a business after studying or already has some transactional finance experience or a placement and is looking to take that step up.

Key responsibilities for the successful Graduate Assistant Management Accountant will include:

• Month-end duties including intercompany recharges, fixed assets, journals, accruals and prepayments
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Debtors and creditors reporting
• Assisting with the preparation of the management accounts and the quarterly forecast/annual budget processes
• Responsible for supporting with the cash flow process and associated reporting
• Working closely with the transactional finance team and supporting them with any relevant duties on a day to day basis
• Any other ad hoc tasks/projects as required by the Financial Controller and wider Finance Team

You may have some finance experience to go alongside your academics or this could be your first role in industry.

To be successful in the Graduate Assistant Management Accountant role you will ideally:

• Be ambitious, be keen to progress and will have a want to learn and develop within finance
• Want to do further study and will be keen to commit to either CIMA or ACCA
• Have an understanding and interest in a career in finance

This role is based within the Bradford area and is easily commutable from Bradford, Halifax, Keighley, Horsforth and all areas of West Leeds.
