Transport Administrator/Planner

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Candidates must possess first rate communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships. This role involves close liaison with our customers and internal departments on a daily basis.

Duties to include:

• Working with customers/suppliers/drivers and other traffic desks, planning routes and scheduling delivery times to ensure the smooth running of the operation
• Liaise with other departments within the Company
• Proactively work to reduce late deliveries and missed time slots
• Strong organisational skills for planning schedules, journeys and loads
• Maintain computerized systems within the department and have the skills to use excel spread sheet
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels
• Provide general support appropriate to the management when require
• Ensure that the department complies with Health & Safety rules and regulations as set out by the Company and governing bodies
• All vehicle defect reports are completed and checked daily
• Must have Experience of administration in a busy transport environment
• Monday -Friday

Criteria required:

• Ability to manage change effectively and communicate concisely
• Knowledge of or previous work within the distribution industry is essential
• High degree of self-motivation, with a resilient, persistent and tenacious approach

Earning potential: £34,251-38.000 per annum depend from experience

Salary: £34,251.00-£38,000.00 per year
