Packing Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a manufacturer of plastic packaging for the food industry for Experienced Packing Operatives

Shift Pattern

This role is 3 on 3 off, 12 hour shifts and involves doing both days and nights on a rotating basis.

Alternating 7am – 7pm and 7pm – 7am on a rotating basis - shift rotas will be provided

The Pay

£10.00 per hour for the first 4 weeks

£10.40 per hour after 4 weeks

ALL BREAKS ARE PAID

Rates of Pay will Change from 1st April 2023

PAID BREAKS

Overtime is paid at time and a quarter after full shift set completed for that week

Overview of the role

The successful candidate should have the:

• Picking and Packing Experience Required as this is very fast paced
• Good verbal communication and listening skills, all communication both written and verbal must be in English.
• Ability to use own initiative to work as an individual or as part of a team unsupervised.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
• Ability to operate computer equipment for data purposes.
• Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment.
• A methodical approach to systems and understanding of the importance of standards and established/agreed systems of work.
• Able to make decisions based on experience, have confidence to act and make changes within given boundaries.
• Good personal organisation under pressure from time, internal and external customers.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to read and understand written planning and follow verbal instructions
• A flexible approach to work
