DRIVER / PASSENGER ASSISTANT

Mont a l’Abbe School wish to recruit Driver / Passenger Assistants to join the team in transporting children and young people from home to school and school to home on a daily basis. Mont a l’Abbe School is a co-located Special School in St Helier. Pupils use school transport from all over the island. You will be willing to work flexibly as part of a team, have a clean driving licence with D1 category or a willingness to work towards. You will have some experience of working with children and young people. You will be kind and empathetic; you will be able to manage professional relationships with parents, carers and all school staff. You will be physically fit as this job demands working in small spaces, loading and unloading children and young people, some of whom may be wheelchair users.
