JOB ADVERT HEADER: Cleaner

JOB TITLE: Cleaner

SITE NAME: St Josephs School, Portishead

LOCATION: Portishead, BS20 6QB

HOURS: 10 Hours per week – Monday to Friday 4pm to 6pm

SALARY: NLW - £10.42 per hour (paid four weekly) The site works term time only plus 3 weeks of deep cleaning during the year.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Cleaning experience is desirable

DBS REQUIREMENTS: Yes, Checks to be completed by Churchill, you will be asked to provide required documentation to complete these checks.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: A permanent position is available to join the team at the site. This role would be suitable for a local person looking for part time work with school holiday times non-working, other than two weeks during the summer period and one week during Easter for deep cleaning.

Cleaning Operative Key responsibilities:

To undertake general cleaning duties to the prescribed standards as detailed in the site specification including:

· Cleaning interior surfaces, furnishings, fixtures and fittings

· Clean floors and floor coverings

· Maintain the internal environment

· Service toilet areas; clean all toilet appliances i.e. toilets, sinks etc. and replenish customer supplies i.e. toilet rolls, hand towels, etc.

· To clear and remove rubbish and other items from areas as detailed by the site specification and ensure the security of all areas at completion of duties.

· To control the usage of materials, ensuring the cleaning cupboard is kept tidy at all times.

· To report any problems on site to the supervisor so they may be rectified immediately.

· To undertake any other reasonable duties/request commensurate with this position as designated by the account manager / supervisor
