Job Description: Step up Events Supervisor

Job Purpose: To supervise the running of events alongside and on behalf of the Events Managers and Events Operations Manager, this will include but is not limited to, Screen intros, Q&As, receptions and some client management.


Main Duties- Managing receptions, ensuring catering is served to a high standard and stock usage is recorded correctly.- Ensuring spaces are clean, tidy and meet health and safety requirements- Oversee catering delivery team ensuring they are briefed on timings, cleaning schedules and and break times- Be first point of contact for staff and clients during event delivery- Manage stock levels in preparation for receptions- Manage tabs across multiple retail points- In screen communication with projection team queuing intros and Q&As- Managing tech setup and onstage operations during industry panels, intros and Q&As- Managing events spaces, maintaining and managing stock levels, ensuring cleanliness and that clients and guests are catered for.- Managing stage turnover, cleaning, tech requirements and health and safety considerations.

  • Current First Aid at Work qualification


Attainments /competencies

Essential

  • Ability to complete Health and Safety training


Desirable

  • Health and Safety training/ awareness
  • Carrying out Risk Assessments
  • Ladder training

Previous experience

Essential

  • Front of House cinema experience


Desirable

  • Live Event supervision
  • Catering delivery
  • VIP hosting
  • Basic AV usage and maintenance


Special aptitudes (eg oral or written skills, manual dexterity)

Essential

  • Ability to follow set procedures
  • Present professional approach to third party hirers
  • Ability to delegate
  • Ability to present a calm presence when working under high pressure

  • Desire to exceed client expectations
