Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are a plumbing company, local to the Hinckley and Leicestershire area specialising in plumbing & heating services, including gas works. Here at Climate Care we pride ourselves on our quality, professional service! Our friendly plumbers have extensive experience within the commercial and private business sectors: leisure centres, hotels, schools, new build sites… the list goes on!

Climate Care UK are looking to hire a trainee Quantity Surveyor to assist our Commercial department as our comapany expands. Ideally we are looking for a student currently studying Quantity Surverying, or a relevant alternative, who is looking for real world experience in the construction industry; specifically with ourselves, the plumbing and heating field. Experience is not essential to the role as training will be provided according to company policies and procedures but salary will reflect on experience / growth.

The Role:

· Material management and returns

· Incoming invoices, check, upload and file & query if necessary

· Orders – from merchants for site teams/follow ups

· Monitor order forums to assist site team with orders and returns

· Price check and invoice allocation

· Site visits

· Assist in tendering sites

· Learn to price works done by site teams

The Successful Applicant:

• (Ideally) Currently studing QS / similar course
• (Ideally) Holds CSCS Card
• (Ideally) Driving License

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £18,000.00-£22,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Performance bonus

• Hinckley, Leicestershire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

• surveying (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
