Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job Brief

We are looking for an experienced Logistics/Transport Co-ordinator to join our team to help grow our small business. We expect significant growth over the next couple of years with a Managerial Role to be opening up once a solid operations team is in place. Our Company are dedicated to looking after the health & wellbeing of our staff.

Responsibilities

• UK Mainland & European route planning & scheduling
• Ensuring efficiency and cost-effective planning
• Taking Customer bookings via email, telephone & online systems
• Manage Customer delivery queries via email and telephone
• Daily booking and management of orders going out via third parties
• Inputting each job onto the systems and allocating drivers
• Progressing the job at each stage on online system
• Assist drivers with issues locating drop of points etc if needed
• Using the vehicle trackers to assist with updates to Customer
• Manage driver expectations of any overnight/overtime jobs
• Cover other staff jobs during holiday leave when needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year working in logistics/transport co-ordination
• Knowledge of UK postcodes/areas
• Favourable if experienced in international shipments by road
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Methodical and must pay attention to detail
• Team player able to work with others to achieve targets and offer exceptional customer service
• Good time management, planning and organisational skills
• Self-motivated, driven and able to review own performance to improve
• Professional and confident telephone manner
• Good I.T skills including Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
• Able to navigate online systems with ease
• Resilience and able to thrive in fast-paced environment

Salary

From £23,500 to £27,000 per year (experience dependant)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
