Manufacturing Labourer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Cogent Staffing are recruiting for Manufacturing/Machine Labourers for our client based just outside of central Halifax. Work is on a temporary basis with more permanent opportunities available for the right candidate following a successful trial period.

Salary/shift:

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00-17:00
• Friday finish at 14:00
• £11.50 per hour
• Weekly pay
• 40 hours per week

The role:

• Loading products onto a fast moving conveyor belt
• Feeding materials into the machine
• Packing products into packaging and stacking boxes onto pallets
• Wrapping, stacking and managing pallets
• Carrying out stock checks as required
• Carry out manual handling and heavy lifting
• Any other warehouse duties as required

The candidate:

• The ideal candidate will have experience in a production/warehouse environment
• Can communicate effectively and complete required paperwork
• Has proficient maths/English skills to count and complete stock checks
• Is confident and considerate working with a fragile product in a very fast moving work environment
• Can work in a timely and accurate manner
• Is reliable and looking for full time work
• Works well unsupervised and as part of a team
