Casual Storeman- Edinburgh Zoo

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Storeman to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Edinburgh Zoo on a permanent casual basis, zero hour contract.

• Unloading goods.
• Receiving Temperature control goods and checking against invoice.
• Inspecting for damage.
• Moving goods around a store.
• Stocking shelves.
• Stacking bulky goods safely.
• Picking goods from shelves and recording their movements.
• Data entry and paperwork/ stock taken
• Moving heavy pallets and goods around unit
• Completing ordering form
• Physically demanding

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conduct weekly stock‐takes
• Oversee and be responsible for all deliveries
• Store and rotate goods correctly
• Liaise with suppliers in case of shortages
• Deliver all goods to the relevant outlets within the agreed timescales

• good communication skills, written and oral in English, driving license is a MUST
• flexible attitude
• ability to adhere to all H&S and Food Safety practices
• previous food handling/catering experience advantageous
