Trainee CAD Technician

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Looking for your first full time position since leaving college/university?

Do you have some basic experience using CAD?

A metal distribution company based in Corby are looking to add a trainee level draughtsperson to their CAD team. Ideally we are looking for somebody with a good understanding of CAD, and a basic ability to draw using CAD programs such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, Inventor etc, however full training will be provided.

You will be fully trained and shadowed by an experienced CAD draughtsperson until you are up to speed. On a day to day basis you will be doing the following -

• Bringing customer enquiries to life using bespoke CAD software
• From a rough sketch to a detailed AutoCAD file - give your input and advice to customer designs
• Signing off drawings before manufacturing process begins

Job details

• Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
• Permanent and Full Time position
• Starting basic salary of £18-20,000 to be reviewed after probation
• Annual profit share bonus scheme
