Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job Description:

This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to kick-off their career within Human Resources. You will be part of a small team and involved in all aspects of Human Resources.

The Role:*

  • Produce accurate correspondence to employees relating to all employee lifecycle events e.g. starters, leavers, changes to Terms and Conditions of Employment and general communications.
  • Update and maintain various systems, to include HR database, expenses system, Applicant Tracking System etc. Working with other areas of the business to ensure alignment.
  • Maintain HR administration processes.
  • Schedule HR activities, such as meetings, training, inductions and exit interviews.
  • Provide general HR assistance and support to the business.
  • Maintain electronic and hardcopy employee files.
  • Monitor key employee milestones and complete associated tasks, such as those relating to probationary reviews and service anniversaries.
  • Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.

Candidate Profile:

  • People skills – an easy manner and the ability to inspire confidence, as well as demonstrating trustworthiness and tactfulness.
  • Communication skills – for dealing with colleagues and external clients.
  • Admin skills - for dealing with sometimes complex paperwork and maintaining reliable records.
  • Diligence – for understanding rules and regulations, adapting to new ones, and ensuring that procedures are followed accurately.
  • IT skills - proficient in MS Word (mail merge, letters), Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively use various systems.
  • Time management skills - delivers to agreed timescales.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.

Desirable:

  • Business Administration NVQ, or similar qualification.
