Role Overview & Responsibilities

POSITION - FULL TIME - MONDAY TO SATURDAY - 40 HOURS A WEEK WITH A DAY OFF IN THE WEEK TO COMPENSATE SATURDAY WORKING

9AM - 5.30PM - Monday to Saturday

1 in 4 SUNDAY WORKING A MONTH AT THE HAYLING ISLAND BRANCH

Please note a position that 40 hours a week working across 2 branches one at

HAYLING ISLAND - PO11 9LG

And the other at COSHAM HIGH STREET - PO6 3BZ

*****MUST HAVE A FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE****** - FOR DELIVERIES

ROLES & DUTIES

Advising and selling various pet products

Shelf stacking / Stock Rotation

Serving customers - handling money

Taking telephone calls and orders and messages

Dealing with deliveries - Some Feed Sacks are 25kg therefore lifting required

Dealing with customers in a polite and appropriate manner

General shop housekeeping

Weighing and bagging up products

Stock Taking

Demonstrating and fitting various animal accessories

Ordering stock from various wholesale suppliers

Must be willing to undertake online and onsite development training in respect to various branded products

Home deliveries - carried out in company vehicle, candidate not to have more than 3 penalty points & a full uk licence

End of day duties

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS

Due to the expansion of the companies we are now looking for a suitable candidates to join the team, someone who is polite, well presented, good with animals and people, to work across our branches which are located at Hayling Island, PO11 & Cosham, PO6. The selected candidate should be fully felixiable in their role as there will be requirements to work across both stores.

Candidates must have qualifications to the current G.C.S.E level in both Maths and English

Previous retail experience in the pet industry or retail sector is preferred

Looking to employ candidate that has City & Guilds in Pet Shop Management or similar qualification is preferred

Work Experience in the Pet industry would be preferred but not essential

Training will be given as the role develops

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £9.18-£9.50 per hour
