Role Overview & Responsibilities

About the company:
Curtis Packaging, a leading supplier of the highest quality printed cartons are currently seeking a Cleaning Operative who will report to the HR Manager. The successful candidate will undertake cleaning tasks and create and maintain a quality standard of cleaning to an agreed specification.

Our buildings are split into offices and warehouses and are spread over 2 sites, which are within walking distance of one another.

The role

Part time (30 hours) per week. Working 6 hour days, 8am to 2pm (this can be flexible for the right candidate), Monday-Friday.

• Ensure toilets, canteens and communal areas are clean to a satisfactory and hygienic standard.
• Vacuum carpeted areas, mop hard flooring, dust, pick up rubbish and empty waste bins.
• Load and empty dishwashers, replace hand towels, toilet rolls, hand soaps and air fresheners.
• Report when cleaning supplies are running low for replacement.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and defective items are reported and replaced.
• Report any foreign objects on the ground or damaged property to the correct departments.

Requirements

• Proven previous cleaner experience
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• It is essential that the post holder is physically able to manage electrical cleaning equipment, climb stairs many times a day and cover a large area on foot comfortably.

• Salary range; £10.50 to £12.00 per hour
• O/T available (paid at time and a half / double pay on Sundays)
