Support Worker (Days)

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for a Days Support Worker (Maternity Cover - 6 month) to join our team working at Nightingale (Bournemouth). If you have previously worked or are currently working as a care assistant, healthcare assistant, or support worker looking for a new opportunity or your first role within Social Care to help support residents with Autism and Learning Difficulties within a care home setting as part of the NHS partnership.

Nightingale’s is a 10-bed specialist residential care home supporting adults over the age of 18 with Autism and Learning Difficulties located in Bournemouth (BH6 3PX) in Boscombe.

What you will need:

• Positive Attitude and Caring Approach
• Strong Communication Skills
• Able to work as part of a team
• No previous care experience is required

About the Role:

• Working from 07:45am till 08:00pm on a 42 Hour Full Time Contract
• Maternity cover - 6 month contract
• Working alternate weekends
• Helping to promote resident independence
• Supporting residents in all aspects of day-to-day life, encouraging and promoting independence
• Monitoring of residents and reporting concerns to senior team members or managers
• Going out with residents into the local community to attend events, parks, restaurants and local activities
• Completing resident’s records to help monitor health and overall well-being
