Role Overview & Responsibilities

Deerfoot IT Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our client's welcoming team as an Air Traffic Engineer. This is an entry-level position that offers hands-on training and mentoring to develop skills and knowledge in the field of ATC and NAVAIDS engineering.

In your first few weeks in this Air Traffic Engineer role, you can expect to:
  • Assist in conducting site surveys to determine the suitability of locations for equipment installation
  • Learn to design, develop, and install ATC and NAVAIDS systems, including communication, navigation, MET and Airport Information Systems
  • Assist in performing system upgrades, maintenance, and repairs as required
  • Conduct tests and analysis of systems to ensure their compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with other engineers and technical staff to ensure seamless integration of ATC


To apply for this Air Traffic Engineer role, you will need GCSE A*, A, B, C or equivalent level 2 qualification. You will also require the following:
  • Interest in aviation and engineering
  • Basic understanding of electrical or electronic systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor environments
