Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are pleased to announce that a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an innovative, committed, and enthusiastic teacher to join a dedicated and effective Mathematics faculty.

Tibshelf Community School is a successful (Ofsted GOOD and 2022 P8 +0.1), oversubscribed 11-16 school with 810 students on roll. It is situated close to Chesterfield and Alfreton on the edge of the Peak District National Park and has good transport links, being close to the A38 / A61 / M1 and is an ideal location for people travelling in from Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby or surrounding areas.

This position will provide an exciting and challenging opportunity for an established Mathematics Practitioner or an Early Careers Teacher to join a highly successful and well-established mathematics faculty in a GOOD school.

As well as GCSE Mathematics, we also offer courses in Further Maths, Statistics and Economics. The faculty consists of six FTE teachers and has six dedicated maths classrooms, each with two whiteboards and an interactive projector.

The successful candidate will uphold our inclusive ethos, provide opportunities for all students to progress well, be highly motivated and ambitious for all students through an unrelenting focus on them as individuals and have a passionate belief in the ability for all students to succeed.
