Role Overview & Responsibilities

The White Hart, Witley is the smokehouse HQ of Dirty Sixth, a small independent modern British concept committed to serving 100% wood-smoked barbecue, proper burgers, craft beer & cocktails.

We are looking for passionate, hard-working, committed chefs to join the team as we continue to serve the best barbecue in the land.

To be a member of our team you should be (or aspire to be) a pretty damn awesome chef.

Experience isn't always necessary as full training will be given but you must be committed to doing a job properly and generally giving a toss about what you’re sending out.

What we’re looking for;

• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Have ninja-like knife skills or at least be able to use a knife without hurting yourself
• Be able to work quickly, neatly and tidily and understand the importance and have a willingness to undertake a thorough cleaning program at the end of each shift.
• Have the ability to read an order, prioritise and consistently produce food to a company standard.
• Remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively with all team members to achieve guest satisfaction.

We only employ nice people, who care about others and are willing to help out at any time.

We can have some pretty intense services where you’ll need to keep calm, stay organised and not be a prima donna or be prone to chef rage under pressure.

We put a lot of love into our food and this will be an opportunity for you to learn real-deal barbecue.

If you regularly sleep-in, have a large extended family who requires your companionship at their many hospital appointments or if you have a weak constitution - don't apply.

We can offer a good basic, full training, days off, coffee, high-fives, and a big hug if you ever need it.

• Starting salary of £15 p/h if your good.
• 4 shifts a week/ no splits
• 28 days paid holiday per year (pro-rata)
