General Warehouse Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

At dnata we handle a variety of cargo, ranging from live animals through to luxury cars, ensuring it is safely and securely prepared ready to travel.

You will be required to off-load and load cargo vehicles, operate a forklift truck and other mechanical equipment, as well as perform some manually handling. You will be expected to use handheld devices to locate and identify cargo and process paperwork in accordance with client requirements.

• Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given to the right candidates who wish to share in dnata’ s vision, mission and values
• Safety driven with the ability to maintain a safe and secure working environment
• Pre-employment checks - ability to achieve successful completion of the referencing (checkable 5 year employment/education history) and criminal record check procedures to meet dnata and CAA security regulations, and a satisfactory medical report.
• Airside Driving Mandatory

This is a 365 day operation and you will be expected to work a shift pattern across Monday to Sunday, with a mixture of early, late and night shifts. Rosters are subject to change in line with operational requirements.

Starting Salary during Training - £29,818.73 Gross (approx. inc shift supplements),

Increasing to £31,155.75 Gross (approx. inc shift supplements) during probationary period,

There is a further increase to the basic salary element of pay upon completion of one year of continuous service.

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
