Role Overview & Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
· Attend work in correct uniform, at correct rostered time
· Food preparation and service for all catering outlets, which may include bar/lounge, Halfway Hut and events
· Lead by example, setting the pace and standards and ensure that co-workers meet all standards for performance, appearance and service provision
· Maintain existing food programmes and work with other chefs to develop new concepts/strategies that ensure the highest possible quality of food service to meet guest/member expectations and assure repeat business
· Ensure that all policies and procedures related to the operation of the Food & Beverage department are enforced and implemented appropriately, including personnel management, sanitation, food preparation, storage, health and safety and staff food
· Create and develop menus and prices, in conjunction with other chefs to ensure cost of sales targets are met and profits maximised
· Work with other chefs to manage all food and supply purchases, including full compliance with nominated suppliers
· Help implement and maintain effective inventory and shortage controls
· Review all bookings for catered activities, i.e., functions and events to ensure accurate delivery of customer requirements
· Work with other departments to ensure efficiencies of operations
· Maintain knowledge of local competition and general industry trends
· Work with other chefs to recruit and train kitchen team to deliver required standards
· Implement and support all company initiatives and policies as requested
Working Hours
· Shift pattern that will include weekends
· Working hours will vary depending on the needs of the business
· All rotas to be agreed with other chefs
General
- Communicate with internal and external customers in a friendly and courteous manner at all times
- To maintain a professional standard of dress and appearance, in line with company standards
· Maintain a safe, clean and tidy work area
- To adhere to all statutory requirements regarding fire, health, safety and hygiene
- To attend any training sessions as requested and adhere to company policies
· Support colleagues in delivering a high standard of customer service
· Carry out any additional duties as reasonably requested by the management team
- Promote the Club in a positive light at every opportunity
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
