Role Overview & Responsibilities

Here at Dunelm, we have an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced Depot based in Stoke. Our depot is responsible for getting our products out to customers and into their homes, ensuring that they are met with the best levels of customer service that we can provide. As we strive to become the number one homewares provider, our staff are instrumental in making this business work.

We are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Supervisor who can work in assisting with all aspects of the warehouse and transport requirements of the depot and central hub, including our distribution and collection services, stock sortation, trunk planning and planning routes.

The roles hours will be on a permanent 10 pm - 6 am shift.

You are responsible for all aspects of operational activities within your team / work stream including:

  • Maintaining fleet records in line with company policy and legislation
  • Communicating effectively with team members
  • Updating driver’s hours, holiday, and sickness onto the appropriate records.
  • Ensuring all accident forms are completed actioned and filed correctly.
  • Carrying out any other clerical duties such as photocopying, writing letters, filing and yard checks as and when required
  • Working accordingly to the Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) at all times.
  • Adhering to Company health & safety / security policy and procedures
  • Covering for the depot manager in their absence i.e. during breaks/ holidays/ sickness
  • Supporting the distribution operation/office within capability (within reasonable management request)
  • Managing a team in a n effective manner
  • Conducting interviews, investigations and disciplinaries

The ideal candidate will have expertise in the following:

  • Teamwork
  • They ability to assist the management team in providing a professional service.
  • Can work well within the distribution team function to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Administration & process management
  • Produce reports & KPI packs.
  • GCSEs or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
  • Notational CPC & Driver CPC would be an advantage.
  • C1 licence not essential but would be an advantage
