Occupational Therapy Development Lead

Joint Community Rehabilitation and Falls prevention Service (JCR) (Hastings and rother, Eastbourne Seaford and Hailsham, Lewes High Weald and Havens)

We are looking for a development lead occupational therapist. This is an exciting opportunity that will support the professional development of the OT workforce across the trust. Although this role sits within our JCR services the post holder will work acrossthe wider occupational therapy profession in the Community Health and Integrated Care division at ESHT. The role will focus on theclinical, education, service development and leadership opportunities for the wider OT workforce and to raise the profile of occupational therapy across the trust. For example by looking atinduction processes, training and education, competency development, monitoring and supporting supervision and learning needs.

We have a large occupational therapy team with both registered and non registered staff as well as apprentices. Alongside another part time development lead OT, the post holder will oversee the AHP preceptorship programme and our specific OT education offer for newly qualified therapists, international recruits, as well as support students, apprentices, and support workers.

We offer regular supervision and training opportunities for professional developments. The post holder work closely with the other AHP development leads and professional leads.
