Role Overview & Responsibilities

Ecommerce Accountants LLP is looking for at least one bookkeeper with experience in Xero to join their friendly and dynamic team.

This is a great opportunity for anybody looking to develop their bookkeeping or accounting career, as you will be joining a fast-growing and innovative firm.

Title: Bookkeeper

Main duties and responsibilities of the role

Your will main responsibility will be to carry out monthly bookkeeping tasks on Xero for our clients.

• Bank Reconciliations
• Posting sales/purchase invoices
• Making journal entries
• Proactively chasing clients up with queries
• Preparing VAT returns
• Report to Client Manager

Mandatory requirements

• At least two years’ previous experience in bookkeeping.
• Solid understanding of spreadsheet software
• A good understanding of VAT principles
• Great command of the English language (both written and oral)

Desirable characteristics

• Experience working with ecommerce businesses
• An understanding of EU VAT (distance sales/reverse charge/EC Sales)
• Friendliness (we have a fun and sociable team!)
• A passion for learning (we love keyboard shortcuts)
• Software that we use includes Xero, Dext, Karbon, Google Drive, 1Password, Slack and a familiarity with any of these is a bonus

About the firm

Ecommerce Accountants LLP is an accounting practice that specialises in working with online and ecommerce businesses. Clients range from start-ups to established online sellers.

The firm consists of around twenty-five team members. It has been running for over five years, has doubled in size each year and currently has two Partners.

Salary

Salary will be £27-32k depending on experience.

Salary will be reviewed on a periodic basis and will grow with the success of the firm and your performance.

Future Prospects
There may be some scope for future training with the practice and gaining an ACCA (or similar) qualification, depending on the progress.

Salary: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
